BenQ Se Monitor Fail 05-20-2022, 04:42 PM
#1
I tryd to Se BenQ to get a monitor.
It all went very well and they did send me a new monitor very quickly and wanted me to send the old broken one back, i said that i already had thrown it away because it caughed fire. Now they want me to pay an part or they can come an pick up the new monitor.
Carrier was ups but cant DNA because I know the driver. I made a mistake by not using a drop house, but my real address.
Any ideas to maybe safe the Se or should I just send the monitor back and take the L?

That's the reason, why it's so important to prepare everything. In my opinion there only these ways to fix it.
1. You can perform a DNA claim
2. You can do FTID and hope everything goes right (not a 100% method, but could work really well if you do everything right)
3. Call them and be really upset and say, that you need the
monitor for work, but you didn't have the money to pay it. Say them you have a family and during Corona everything got really hard in your life and you didn't know, that you have to keep the old one. Maybe they will say, that you don't need to pay it, but you need to do it very good.
It's nothing personal, it's all about business

Ignore them at first. If they send a carrier to get the box, tell the carrier it's a mistake and it's already being taken care of at the manufacturer level. The carrier has no idea of the issue. Stick to your story and if they insist past the 4 week mark, go ahead and call to complain or use their chat service if you feel more comfortable that way. Your monitor started smelling like burnt plastic and there was a little smoke coming through a vent, so you got scared and threw it out. Don't say it caught on fire and burnt your dying grandma's house to the ground. Subtlety wins. If they ask why it took you 4 weeks to respond, you were on vacation and couldn't take care of this mess before. Your brother answered the door and spoke to the carrier. Use those 4 weeks to find/photoshop a picture of your burnt BenQ screen in case they require photographic evidence.

Thanks for the advices.
i know i should have prepared the se better, i was inattentive because things were going so well the last few months. I will consider it next time. I'll ignore them for now and if anything comes up again, i will bring my a1 level of acting.
