BenQ 32" Monitor SE (under warranty)? #1
Hi, I have been using a lovely £400 BenQ 32" Monitor for about 1.5 years (2-year warranty) and would like to SE a second one.

As I own this monitor and have a POP as well as a serial number, all I need to do is to convince customer service to send me a new one without having to RMA my current one back.

Does anyone have experience with BenQ's UK support? I'd appreciate suggestions on how to convince them that a return is not needed/possible.

I believe the following ideas are not feasible:
- health and safety related: there would be evidence of a monitor having gone up in flames. If it just started "melting" or similar, Is it really realistic to not having taken a photo before fully disposing of it? Plus, burning monitors are pretty rare
- does not turn on: the usual case, but how to avoid the need to send it back?
- does not receive a signal anymore: even more likely to require a return as it might be fixed easily

I'd do a trial run but it appears that the support requires a serial number from the get go and I do not have a spare BenQ monitor SN to test it with.

PS: If you are sensitive to blue light/flickering I can strongly recommend BenQ "Eye Q" monitors.

If you're not aware that they require a photo as part of their claims process, then there's no reason to take one prior to disposing It.

Chapeau!

Beautifully simple, really, I needed to hear that. The customer is not required to have memorised the full terms or think that far ahead. The immediate danger of a smoking/melting appliance tops warranty concerns in the moment and no one can really argue with that (although I'm sure they'll try).

Absolutely.

The last thing you'd be thinking of In such circumstances, Is to take a photo- namely when personal health & safety Is at risk.
