Quite a few of you will know about the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. I came across these images in this article. They're quite interesting and help you see how the world has changed. Some people will live their daily lives walking through places where thousands of men once marched through, about to face their last days.

We tend to forget or simply overlook, just how lucky we are to be living the life we have before us.

And It's all due to those who fought for their country, many of which lost their lives at a very young age. These Images are priceless.

Seeing these kinds of pics is really interesting. I know my dad dug some up of the small town my family used to live to during the war, and seeing the old pictures overlayed over modern-day really gives some perspective on how much the war really effected the lives of the people who lived there.
