I don't think you can fool anybody with examplejpg ... why should anybody think that's an jpeg??

Far too much lines of code for such a simple task.

I don't know AutoIt, but I'm sure you can do it for efficient.
If not, you might think about using another language ... Batch, Python, C++, C#?

Anyway, if you want to spoof the extension, you should do it - not just rename it.

If I remember correctly, this was a part of bigger project so that isn't a choice.
