I responded to them and told them that i did not purchase the label from fedex so how would i have any authority to say anything to fedex or have them do anything about it

They said because of the weight discrepancy they would not be able to provide additional support. I responded and let them know that this is not my fault and that they are the only ones that can do anything about it but it seems to just be going in circles at this point. i think i will try to call them soon.

That's a load of garbage.

You've purchased through them, hence they're responsible to address and/or Investigate discrepancies/Issues.

In my experience I get a lot further by calling reps since you are able to put the reps on the ropes, and will apply some pressure to help move things along. OP I hope your se will be a success!
