Finally decided I wanted to do a pair of Astro A40s. Have never warranty claimed or whatever you’d like to call it. Any best practices for 1) how to acquire a serial number like Craigslist etc 2) good excuses for getting a new pair and not sending them back to the company.

Following. I need to retire my turtle beach headset and get Astro A40s. I'm wondering is it life time warranty for the Astro if it is I have 2 friends who has them and I could probably get the serial number.
