Actually i have been reading "Art of Assembly" book in which MASM is given.. i know about it (non-portable and all such things). i want to know which is better in performance.. i know you only have an experience of NASM , but can you please tell me How you learned assembly with NASM? Is NASM is easy for beginner or MASM?

There is no difference in performance or difficulty. They just differ in minor things, like case-sensitivity and some keywords.

I've got a good german book I learned it from (actually my husband's book). I didn't write that much with it, though. Just some little things. I need to be able to read it for malware analysis.
