Try it. Partial refunds are fairly easy from sites like Asos.
They've no reason not to believe you and they'll agree they've made a packing error.

Packages are weighed on consignment, so If the Items you're SEing with the "Missing Item/partial method" register a weight during transit and they cross-check with the carrier, your SE will fail.
What's the weight of the Items?

Ive got a partial refund by using the "missing item method" they are usually quite quick in replying saying the will send a replacement out.

Are parcels weighed in Italy? When does this occur before shipment or at the time of delivery?
Suit composed of sweatshirt and trousers: from 1 kg to 1.2 kg
Shoes with box: 1.2 kg

Can you tell me precisely all the items you have included in the order?

It's not possible to speak for every country, but I've yet to come across a shipment without a weight being documented.
When the package Is dispatched from the warehouse, the weight & dimensions are recorded. The carrier does the same on consignment. That's how the carrier works out the cost with the retailer- volume vs weight, whichever Is the greater.
