I heard apple can and sometimes does brick the devices so I make sure to wrap it in foil and do NOT activate or touch until money is sent back. I haven't even opened it, im going to sell it and rebuy the same thing in store to make sure I get warranty since apple is extremely good with warranties and helping you out provided you have an extensive purchase history with them directly.

Did they start an investigation and how long did it take?
