Apple Blacklist for Laptops? #1
Hi,

I was curious if I SE'd a Macbook from Apple via Amazon, do they blacklist the laptop's serial? I know with the iPhone they can blacklist the IMEI, but can they do the same thing with a Macbook Air?

If It's deemed stolen, Apple can blacklist the serial number.

It will not render the laptop nonfunctional, but rather you won't be able to get support from Apple themselves.

Okay so pack was delivered. No signature. No photo. Amazon. Seems perfect for DNA. I wonder if I should wait a day so that the they don’t call the driver to check and he doesn’t come back and try to murder me.

Correct, It's a perfect DNA scenario.

As with every DNA, you must wait at least one day prior to claiming that It didn't arrive.

You're obviously not supposed to know that you've received It, so as far as you're concerned, you are still waiting for the package to arrive. Hence the delay In calling the company.

Luckily for you, Apple does not have as much control over Macbooks as they do over iPhones. With iPhones, they can iCloud lock them which will prevent anyone from ever getting in to them. (Although I've heard of services where people can still unlock these, I've never used them myself, nor am I convinced of them). With macbooks, they can't be locked in the same way, so even if Apple blackists them, they will still be fully functional.
