Sorry if I make this thread in the wrong section. I did not found a section that mentions about Mobile devices or something like that.

So there is a deal that I have Samsung galaxy s2 and its lock screen is "Swipe" and I really don't like that way to unlock my phone especially when I'm in the rush it doesn't even unlock sometimes from the first attempt.
So I wanted to ask is it possible to change my lock screen from Swipe to Slide to Unlock

Install an app that changes this. Apps like that is a waste of phones energy...
Or some of you may say that install other rom and stuff.
Well as much as I know that Android had a freedom of being customized so there is some ways to change that?

There is very little difference between the swipe and slide methods the only discernible one is that swipe allows you to unlock the device from anywhere on the screen as apposed to dragging the icon. Android is open source which indeed makes it easy to customize your device but these customizations usually take the form of ROMS, you may be able to find one that uses this method of unlocking but as far as I'm aware this method was replaced by the swipe function in I *think* 2.3. I know it's not the answer you are looking for but an app or ROM will be the easiest method of doing this as far as I am aware.

I was searching trough the Internet for custom Roms.. and there is so many of them that I can't even decide which is better to use...
I have also tried Apps. But most of them are laggy and slows down the phone.

People recommended CyanogenMod. Probably gonna try this out.

Cyanogenmod is very good although I'm not sure it offers the lockscreen you want.

@chmod read that it has lot more to choose from. maybe there is more options of choosing lock screen also seen that the default lock screen for cyanogenmod is from 4.2.2 jelly bean. Which is still better than 4.1.2.

Cyanogenmod has many lockscreens. I'm on 10.1.3 (4.2.2) and I can choose between:
-None
-Sweep
-Face Unlock
-Schema
-Pin code
-Password

hope it helps you. You said that you don't know which ROM to use. I'm a GS2 i9100G owner for 2 years and I can recommend cyanogenmod. I didn't try 10.2 or 11 because they are not stable (but you can try them)

I don't know if the installer works fine (I always use CWM to flash and wipe). And it's not hard to install. Your phone is a i9100 or i9100G ?
