Amazon wrong item method possible failure? #1
I was wondering, if attempting it on a 1300 euro item, is there the possibility to be stuck with the item? I can't afford not getting it refunded.

Is there ANY scenario in which you fail the refund and can't even return it? I need to think of everything.

As with every SE, there's "always" the possibility of failure.

What's the Item?

You don't really have a problem there boy. Just order it, upon receiving generate automatically a return label, ship back the wrong item and if it doesn't work - or you get stuck with a refund - use the same label to return the legit item for a legit refund. You get your ass covered in all situations.

an high end GPU, probably it's an "hot" item to be SE'd even in amazon's knowledge

I'm okay in failing and having to return the item, not okay in the scenario where I'm utterly destroyed and can't even return it or blocked account.

Also forgot to say I have already done two refunds on this account (both 350 euros) and the last one 9 months ago. Also a legit returned item of like 20 euros two weeks ago.

do you guys know if they block the account without warning, or they always give you the warning email "we noticed you received a lot of refunds etc." before doing it.

Do you have the possibility to order and ship in a different name?

I could use my brother account but then they may link accounts and they will be very angry.
Obviously my brother have used the account at my home, so IP may be the same, mac adress, browser ecc.

The timing of the last SE (9 months ago) and the fact that you've made a legit return, should not raise suspicion on the account.

In terms of the possibility of an account block, generally speaking, Amazon do provide forward notice to the effect you've mentioned.

Another user recently said their account was blocked after failing a wrong item return so it's a real concern, not sure why they jumped to that in his case though.

Edit: @phobetor00 's case

damn yeah, but that user didn't say if he was already warned, or if he had done a number of refunds quite close together, or if he had multiple accounts that linked.

I'm curious about the circumstances of that ban.

I was indeed blocked before for having multiple accounts with multiple refunds that were now linked. Don't be greedy kids, that's the lesson to take from here.
