Amazon refund but order not returned

I've gotten an advanced replacement for a $120 SSD before from Amazon. gave me a month to return, on the account I used a VCC where once I was done using the account, I disposed of the vcc so they can't charge me

Yeah this is true. However I haven't heard of Amazon billing people after an advanced refund in the many years I've SE'd. The most they'd do is not allow the account to order without paying the outstanding balance.

It depends on the amount owing.

If, for example, It's a 5k diamond ring, they'd certainly take action to obtain the funds.
