Just go to the police station and show them what Amazon said. They'll just make a police report and probably won't do much more than that.

Do this and in most cases police wont do anything however due to the large sum they could do something however just fill in a police report and show it to them.

A police report, Is simply required to move forward with your claim.
Comply with their request and await the outcome.

I've decided to return it after the 24th of May, then do multiple small refunds and buy the item legitimately.

A police report would've worked In your favor. Ultimately, It's your call.
All the best with the said refunds.

You should've just filed a police report. I have refunded a Soundboks myself.
But as said above, ultimately it's your choice

Yeah, I suppose theres no going back from here. I said that my brother found the cardboard box, not if it had the items in it, never stated that it was the correct item in it, what was in it, whether or not it was empty or if he simply found a box that was delivered to someone else in the family and not related to the soundboks.
Still possible to save this one?
