If attempting to do a SE of Amazon of roughly 5K in value. I'm thinking if I could get in some legal trouble over this somehow?

Thanks

It may only be required to move forward with the claim, but I always suggest not to sign an affidavit.

Ultimately, It's your call.

Can I refuse to sign an affidavit and still get a refund? Or will they refuse if I don't sign it.

Amazon are saying that they won't issue the refund unless I sign it.

Seems like you answered your own question. What's the value of the item?

Right now I'm trying to send a corrupt file of the affidavit to see if it can be bypassed that way. First a corrupt PDF of the affidavit was sent and then they asked to send it again in as a photo (jpg) so a corrupted jpg was sent to them. Now I'm waiting for their response, I'm hoping they won't ask another file to be sent again.

Good luck, I have a feeling they'll keep asking for it and then eventually start ignoring your emails.

This might be dumb, but isn't an Affidavit only valid if you're not coerced?

Yes I know, unless It's signed, your claim will not move forward.

As said, It may only be needed to continue assessing your claim.
