Amazon WIR with Items from another company? #1
Hey guys. I have an aged amazon account (11 years+) and I am trying to SE a Macbook($3500) with OTP. I haven't done refunding at all on this (only legit ones).
I was wondering if I could claim WIR with 2 small items I have from a different company of equal weight? They are both sealed. Any advice is appreciated Smile

The weight for the macbook says 4.75 lbs on Amazon and I have 2 electronics worth 4.80 lbs. Will it suffice?

P.S. Haven't received macbook yet. It comes tomorrow so I will update accordingly.

At Amazon u need to get from same warehouse.

I know some company that work with other shops but some other check if they sold the wrong item from their own store.

For 100% success I think u need to buy from amz with other account other device and other wifi/IP address.

Dang. Do you suggest I try EB or another method? I have never done this so I'm thinking DNA could work, if the carrier doesn't take a pic and proceeds to drop it off without pics. (Has happened to me before for something else I got legit)

If the 2 items are sold by Amazon then WIR should still work even if you bought them elsewhere.

DNA will only for if there's no OTP.

EB will work if you say the parcel was damaged in transit. I always hear people say always tell the company there's no damage on the shipping box. That method is fine but for an expensive laptop it's best to say the parcel was damaged. You can go as far as saying it looked like the package was resealed with new tape.

Then there's MEB. People always say don't use this method for heavy items but that's not true. It could be stolen in transit which renders the weight on the parcel useless.

500 sheets printer paper are pretty much the same weight as a 14" MBP. Check when the MB will be delivered, search for printer paper that got the same delivery date. Go to local store buy the paper you'll have to send them pictures and send the wrong item to them.

Thank you for the tips. The items I have are definitely sold by Amazon but I got them from Verizon and they are still sealed. The difference in weight is about 40g thankfully. I can try and stick with that story that I got something completely different. It's being delivered in the next couple hours so I will update this thread.

While I feel that will work, I have items that I will never use (a couple hundred dollars) and I rather try with electronics than say I received something from a completely different category.

Update: Package got delayed in transit. Expected sometimes this week now. Now hoping the actual product actually arrives in the first place 😂
