Amazon SE Refund On Headphones? #1
Hi,
I've SE'd a a lot in my time but I just got back into it when I got a refund on an old nearly 2 year amazon order for some headphones. Which saved me money, however I would like to buy a replacement and get a refund without returning the item.
I can't think of any stories for it, I could for the old pair easy but this is harder due to being a new order. I know about the did not receive method but not sure if that'd work. Can anyone give me any help? Thanks!

The DNA method Is predominantly carrier-based, so It works with just about every company.

You can opt for the "wrong Item received" method. Purchase an Item that's significantly cheaper that they stock (Inventory), and when they request the return, send that.

Slightly confused but the wrong item method, wouldn't they notice I bought 2 headphones and I'd be paying for 2 headsets and only get a refund for one? The headset model and make that would pass for the one I want to SE is only one model. So it couldn't pass for it because sadly the cheaper models look completely different. The DNA method would most likely work tho as it's only a £65 headset, thanks for the tips. Anymore are welcome Smile

No.

You order a single headset and claim that they shipped something else Instead. That "something else", Is the wrong Item that (upon request), you'll send back. Because you didn't receive the headset (so they think), a refund will be Issued for the headset.

Okay I see, so I'd need another plausible item to send back. So I'd need something such as a much cheaper pair like £20 and say I got the wrong item and send back the cheap pair? Wouldn't they notice the order for 2 headphones when they look into my later orders? Or would they not look into it that deep.

Hmm, how common is it that they send a wrong item? Could you do the same for mobile phones?

I've read you can, depending on the cost it will be harder. A £150 android for example is much more likely to work other than an iPhone. I did read an example of saying you receive an iPhone case instead of an iPhone.

Just so I'm aware that you're referring to my post, please quote me.

That's correct, you purchase a significantly cheaper Item that they stock, weighs around the same as the headphones and claim they've sent you that Item Instead of the headphones. Other orders on your account Is Immaterial- you can place a legit order for 20 headphones, It has no relevance to this particular one.

I am referring to your post yeah, okay so purchase the headphones I want and say I received a different set and quote the "wrong" headphones name. Then when they refund me and ask me to then to send it order a similar weighing pair that are cheaper.
I've found a pair weighing just over 50gs compared to the ones I'm ordering.
One problem is sometimes the courier is amazon themself, how do you stop them from checking themselves, say you called up the shipping first and they said I would have to contact support?

This Is how It works.

* You order and receive the headphones.
* You claim the wrong Item was shipped and received.
* You send the wrong Item back on request.
* You obtain a refund for the headphones.

Elaborate further on the above. At what point do you believe the carrier checks? And what documentation Is taken to verify they've checked?
