So i won a astro a10 headset which weighs roughly 350g. i was looking to order a more expensive headset off amazon (Turtle beach 700)(weighs roughly 330g) and then say i received the wrong item and return the astro a10 headset? would this work?

If it weighs the same and looks the same, then yes.

If you close the package very carefully, as if never opened, you just put something of the same weight.

They might check the SN and see it doesn't come from their warehouse.

No they do not look the same, maybe if i put the old headset in the new box and make it look like it was never opened? and just return as a change of mind?

Doesn't work.

What would be the point of that?
Why use a new, fully-working headset when you could just find a rock weighing 350gr and put that in the box you're going to seal?
It won't make any difference once they open the box and check its contents. At least you'll have spared a headset from being thrown away in an Amazon warehouse.

Amazon Is meticulous with checking returns, hence It's likely to fail.

Also, It's their policy to not return Items that have been Incorrectly sent, so don't expect It back.
