Account is a few months old
Has 2-3 orders and one legit return due to their mistake.
Tried to perform a partial method, bought 2 items, one large and heavy, second small with weight only 9g
Both came in one box. Tried saying the small one was missing.

So that should be very easy as items that weigh 100-120g should not be recorded at parcel weighing.

so I asked them a couple of times for this and they ask for police report lol,
I'm almost sure that police will tell me that I should first contact amazon as its their error for not sending complete order and since no crime was yet commited they might even not record this as a report.  I'm very surprised that they want a PR for a 300eur item which is partial not a DNA.  I wonder should I make the report or just let it go and wait for a more expensive item to do PR on it.

Yes, their request is strange, I bet this is not your first account on Amazon, they banned you and then you created again an account, maybe without following some precautions. Am I wrong?

I made just one refund 5 yrs ago on a different address, different amazon domain, never used that account later and never received a banned email, so yeah I'm a bit confused.

Exact same thing happened to me! I did end up trying to get a police report but that was virtually pointless. So, I just decided to return the item and get my money back. Good luck though.

That's absolute nonsense.

I can assure you that 9 grams cannot be detected at any carrier's weighing facilities. They don't Increment at that capacity.

If that's the case, why would they request a PR?

Moreover, It's not needed for a missing Item due to a company or manufacturer error. Just go ahead and file the report. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain- should It work In your favor.

Anyway I could file it, just wanted to keep that option for a larger catch as it would seem suspicious if I'd visit the PD later claiming problems with the same store again

Yes, I understand. I have just avoided to fill a police report for an item of 200€, that Refund ended up in a failure for me. Very disappointed.

They've asked to file a PR for a reason, namely that they cannot justify their previous statement confirming you've received your Item. If they could, they wouldn't request the report.

I understand your position to not go ahead with It for an Item of that value, but If you do, your SE has a high chance of success.
