Amazon takes a picture now when they deliver the package to your front door or where they leave the package at. Can I still get away with saying I never received the item and get a refund?

How do you know about the amazon takes pictures?

I’ve ordered some items from them recently and when no one is at home they leave the package and take a picture and I get a notification that my item has been delivered on the amazon app

Ahh right I see that makes sense for the delivery company so therefore they are not liable for what happens as the parcels do get delivered.

You're SEing the Item, not It's packaging hence It's the "Item" weight (net weight), and not the gross weight.

I just looked at the laptop weight it says 3.97 pounds and shipping weight is 5.75 pounds. Would I be able to get away with me buying the laptop and saying I never got it. I know it could go both ways if I get a shitty representative. But if it does go my way would they just offer me a refund or replacement? I’ve seen some people say they start doing investigation or ask you to sign some stuff now?

First and foremost, let's focus on formulating your method effectively.

Quote:I just looked at the laptop weight it says 3.97 pounds and shipping weight is 5.75 pounds.
3.97 pounds Is the Item weight (net weight), and 5.75 pounds Is the gross weight (Item & Packaging).

You're obviously planning to use the DNA method, correct?

The type of laptop Is of no significance, so the link Is not necessary.

If It's a high value Item and given you're using the DNA method, It's almost certain that an Investigation will be opened.
Expect It.

They'll cross-check the consignment with the carrier, with the Intention to establish whether It was delivered to the premises and more Importantly, received by the account holder. It's simply part of company protocol to move forward with the claim, hence there's no cause for concern.

If you method Is planned and executed effectively, there's no reason why It should not succeed.

Either the DNA or wrong Item received, preferably the latter.
