Amazon Empty Box

I recieved my gen 3 airpods today and i want to do the empty box trick but its my first time. I made a request on Aus Amazon and its asking me to return the item back to amazon, do i just mail the empty amazon box back? or have i done this all wrong, if someone could help that would be great

Was it an agent that requested you to return the box back or one of their automated systems?

Assuming they're referring to the empty box, It's becoming standard procedure, so do as Instructed and return It.

yea but why would i return the airpods? the whole point of me doing it is so i keep them and get a refund, what do i return?

The AirPods are listed In the Item description of the return label.

You've EB'd them, so obviously they cannot be returned. I reiterate, did Amazon Instruct you to return the empty box?

Thats what it says on the website. I ended up giving them a phone call and i was able to talk to the right people, im waiting for a response email right now.
