Amazon Double Dip #1
Good evening,

I ordered a Mac from Amazon. I called them and used the leaking battery method. Was able to get a replacement out and it should be arriving within the next couple days. They want the item back though. They dispatched a UPS guy to pick it up. I was planning on not answering the door so he can leave the label.

How do i move forward double dipping this? I don't want to FTID as its a shit method. Should I claim DNA on the replacement? (aged amazon account, dozens of orders. Last SE was around May of last year.)

The Item's return Is complicating the double dip - It will not benefit you unless their arrangement to collect the defective Item Is circumvented.

That's what you should firstly be focusing on.

Understood. Thank you for the reply.

In formulating a scheme, my thought process is to call Amazon and tell them that I had disposed of the item due to health and safety concerns. Maybe tell them that I had done some research and found that batteries could explode if defective, so I had disposed of the item as quickly as possible.

Exactly that.

Always mention health & safety and that you were extremely concerned at the time of the Incident, so your only option was to dispose of It.

Don't go Into anymore detail than you need to.

Just say as mentioned above.

Good news; I was able to cancel the pickup for the item. I also got it in writing. All seems well to continue the double dip.

They leave the package at my front porch, no sig, or anything. I have two orders coming in at the same time, a very cheap item and the replacement. I'm assuming I should DNA both of them.

If they happen to request a signature, obviously fake It, but with a name that's somewhat legible.

As such, when they cross-check the name, It will not be associated to yours, hence "you" did not sign the delivery.

How did you circumvent the need for a return?

Told them that I had disposed of the item for safety reasons.

An another note, I called Amazon and told them im still waiting for my package. The person who delivered it didn't even snap a photo. Ill wait until tomorrow to call in and ask where my package is again.
