Airpods Pro? #1
Is it possible to SE apple with the airpods pro? Just with the serial number and claiming that the charging case is leaking battery acid so you cant return it.
Or will they just send you a new charging case without the pods?

The return Is not an Issue.

As long as the serial Is still under warranty, you can claim whatever you like that justifies Its loss of functionality. When they request the return, simply box them. The package/box dimensions are 3.90 x 3.85 x 1.45 Inches, hence small enough and well-suited to boxing.

I would just say it's not turning on. You aren't sure whether it's the airpods or the charging case. Box them and tell them you returned both. Since it's so light, it wouldn't register a weight on consignment.

Does it has to be filled with dry ice? Because it’s extremely light?

No dry Ice required.

AirPods have a very good success rate without a weight substitute.

So what kind of box should I take, should I also cut a hole in the bottom and tape it?

You only have the serial, thus you're boxing them by (seemingly) sending the AirPod box In the package.

As stated above, the dimensions are roughly 3.90 x 3.85 x 1.45 Inches, so be sure to tear the package just a touch bigger than this, and tape It thereafter. Cutting a hole "slightly larger", justifies that someone can In fact slide the AirPod box out of the package and steal It.

Why tear just a bit bigger than this? I usually just cut through all the tape on one side and then re-tape with another tape. I feel like it's less prone to a damage report and works just as well?

For obvious reasons.

All the more reason for the carrier to Identify It's been tampered with on collection. The bigger the tear, the more likely It's noticed.

Why "cut through all the tape on one side" (thus susceptible to being noticed), when you can make a small tear (with minimal visibility) that's just enough for the Items/box dimensions?

Moreover and stating the obvious, anyone who steals It In transit, Is not going to sit there and make sure the entire tape Is cut. They'd be as fast as possible- that Is, without precision.

Got it. I guess we have different thought processes on it.
I always thought of it as hiding in plain sight. Personally I think a small cut (showing signs of tampering) is more noticeable than the entire side being cut. If the entire side is cut, it appears more like I simply forgot to put something in the box so I just cut it open again. Instead of being tampered with minimally, it's just user error. For me it seems more realistic for somebody to slide a box cutter down the entire line of tape and yank whatever's inside, instead of just big enough to slide a hand in, hope whatever item is inside will fit through the hole, and then try to pull it out.

But as I'm sure you've had lots of success with your method, and I've had lots of success with my method, I suppose both work equally work.
