I love viewing videos of this nature.

So why didn't they just cut off visibility and all gateways to their server there and then?

Probably because they thought the RAT would still be attached? I dunno, I don't watch Castle.

it's sad that that's titled "the most accurate", since the only accurate parts were "i gotta go find out what a RAT is", and the cat videos... Literally the easiest way to prevent a critical hack is just unplug the network cables, or even simpler: ifconfig en0 down

I used to watch Castle (In the background), but not anymore.

Who knows what they were thinking. I would've cut all communications with the remote connection, and then figure out exactly how and where It was Infecting my systems.

@Pyxis even if the RAT was still present on the target system, it would have no way to transmit its collections. In fact, it would be easier to track down what it was and where it came from if it continued its reign in an offline state, it could be monitored without any danger of leaks

The name was ironic. No one is dumb enough to think this is realistic at all, I hope....

The comments on the video are about as funny as the video itself.
"If you look for the light, you can often find it. But if you look for the dark, that is all you will ever see.”
