Not all account deletion options are straightforward. This Is a pretty good point of reference In Identifying the methodology used to delete a given account that has It's services somewhat hidden/hard to find.

I know how a big of a hassle it is to remove a Facebook, Twitter or Netflix account. I removed my old Facebook account like 3 years ago (yes a "permanent removal"), but I can still login when I put in my email with the right password. Everything is still there, messages etc... This site can be very helpful.
