ASOS Double refund 12-21-2021, 09:28 PM

Can’t seem to find my last post where it was about ASOS refusing to refund me for a parcel that wasn’t technically an SE (as I ordered the replacement for delivery to my address)
Anyway, ASOS refused to refund, even though they had the parcel back as I did no collect from collection point, I opened a case with PayPal and twice PayPal closed it in ASOS’ favour because ASOS provided PayPal with the wrong tracking number for the parcel.
I sent a LBA to ASOS and got my full refund that way but due to me opening a case with PP, they couldn’t refund it back to PP so I had to provide an alternative card to ASOS for the refund.
Anyway, I was contemplating doing a chargeback to PayPal to get the PP money back, so I would have double to refund… decided not to, and continued to get in touch with PP regarding the case they closed incorrectly. Today (nearly two months after the case was opened) and numerous emails to their executive escalations team, they’ve agreed it should never have been closed and although they can’t change the case, they are giving me my (nearly) £300. It arrived in my bank an hour after getting the email.
So, I have the original items (worth nearly £300), as I done a successful SE for those to my home address. And I have £600 in refunds. £300 from ASOS and £300 from PP.
Suppose I just wanna say, if you’re close to giving up, push that bit further, you could be on to a winner
