Takes about 10 business day for a police report to give a case number. I recently filed a police report and hopefully tomorrow they give me my case number.

How long does the police report take to complete

A PR Is used with the assessment of the claim.

Depending on Its complexity, the amount of details that need to be collected and the time taken to evaluate everything, It could take a day, a week or a month.

cause i dont wanna miss the return time and if i file a report and amazon still declines it i wont be able to return it right?

It's no fault of your own that Amazon take their time with the PR, hence It will be waived If you wish to return the Item.
