Malvertising is when a hacker buys an ad on a legitimate website, and, as the name suggests, uploads malicious advertisements designed to hack the sites visitor’s computer. They work as a result of the client rendering Adobe Flash SWF files that contain malicious Flash ActionScript code.

This is why everyone should block these Flash-advertisements.

Honestly I don't feel there is a need for Flash anymore, with HTML5. Google chrome has it built in, and if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have it installed at all. Even YouTube will work without it now, which used to be my only reason for having it.

I always assumed you MUST download something in order to get malware, now I know why my system always gets malware even though I never download a single thing. Malware bytes always finds 1 or 2 traces each week when I run it lol.

I believe that if you have an efficient anti-virus, this shouldn't be an issue.
